剧情：所谓的“白箱”，是指在动画放送之前，专门制作赠送给参与了动画制作的工作人员们的录像带，其本身拥有着令人感动的悠久历史，因为这些录像带通常都被装在白色的盒子里，所以被成为“白箱”。一直坚守着自己理想的制作人宫森葵（木村珠莉 配音）、个性认真但有些懦弱的原画师安原绘麻（佳 村遥 配音）、怀才不遇的声优坂木静香（千菅春香 配音）、CG画师藤堂美沙（高野麻美 配音）和容易沉迷与自身兴趣爱好的剧本作家今井绿（大和田仁美 配音），五个个性迥异的女孩，朝着顺利完成白箱的梦想共同努力迈进，在这条并不轻松的道路上，会发生哪些有趣的故事呢？
