剧情：故事发生在北宋年间，杨家将奉旨统领宋军杀向宋辽战场。杨宗保（罗晋 饰）是柴郡主（杨不悔 饰）的独子，自幼走马骑射。一天，为寻降龙木独闯穆柯寨，路遇代父出征的侠女穆桂英（苗圃 饰），穆见杨唇红齿白英武逼人，心中暗喜，她故意刁难杨宗保使其不能轻意如愿，杨宗保与其斗智斗勇，几番回合下来，英雄惺惺相惜，各自走入对方内心，虽说历经磨难，最后终成百年之好。边关吃紧传来噩耗，杨六郎（沈保平 饰）身陷敌营，关健时刻穆桂英巾帼不让须眉，她设巧计使六郎杀出重围。此时穆桂英身怀有孕，欲挂帅出征，众将不服。佘太君（斯琴高娃 饰）力排众议促其挂帅领兵杀向辽军大营......
