剧情：商品经济大潮下，形色男女为了金钱忙忙碌碌。眼见周围的人纷纷致富，一向要强的林小枫（蒋雯丽 饰）心理越来越不平衡，曾经她眼里的好丈夫好医生好男人宋建平（陈道明 饰）也显得愈发无能和呆板。夫妻二人的矛盾升级，即尔公开化，甚至闹到了要离婚的地步。经历了首次离婚风波，同时为了儿子当当的学业，建平接受妻子的建议，从公立医院跳至外资医院。为支持丈夫的工作，小枫自愿承担起大部分的家务，由此牺牲了自己的事业。但是双方的让步并未有效弥合他们感情上的裂痕，猜忌和谩骂愈演愈烈。原本和睦的三口之家在所谓“幸福生活”的指引下面临着四分五裂的结局，孩子却是其中最大的受害者……
