剧情：在第二部里，包拯（陆毅 饰）已经褪去了初生牛犊不怕虎的生涩和冲动，而成了稳重有担待的县城父母官，偏安一隅为民请命。这天收到皇上急召回京，查办收受贿赂贪污的官员接连连续死亡的案件。少年包青天再次出动，而沿路上在各个案件里遇见的王朝马汉、张龙赵虎，日后都会是我们熟悉的大名鼎鼎的包公身边的护卫人物。公孙策（任泉 饰）已然拜服在包拯的聪明才智下，甘愿辅佐他办案。这次遇见的姑娘的是惯偷小蜻蜓（范冰冰 饰），活泼捣蛋的她一直身份神秘，直到案件去到大画家冯止水事件，大家才明白小蜻蜓的身世悲惨：收养她的义父自小视他如己出，为她亲笔作画《牡丹亭上的少女》，内藏一秘密。后来失踪于江湖再无音信，多年来小蜻蜓用尽办法找寻义父下落皆无消息，这次唯有希望包拯能查出事情真相。
